Filter (फ़िल्टर) - Data → AutoFilter :-

Filter (फ़िल्टर) LibreOffice Calc का एक महत्वपूर्ण Data Analysis Tool है, जिसका उपयोग केवल उन रिकॉर्ड (Records) को प्रदर्शित (Display) करने के लिए किया जाता है जो किसी निर्धारित शर्त (Condition) को पूरा करते हैं।

जब किसी Worksheet में बहुत अधिक डेटा होता है, तब सभी रिकॉर्ड को एक साथ देखना कठिन हो जाता है। ऐसी स्थिति में Filter का उपयोग करके केवल आवश्यक डेटा को आसानी से देखा जा सकता है, जबकि अन्य रिकॉर्ड अस्थायी रूप से छिप (Hide) जाते हैं।

Filter लगाने से डेटा Delete नहीं होता, बल्कि केवल अस्थायी रूप से दिखाई नहीं देता। Filter हटाने पर सभी रिकॉर्ड पुनः दिखाई देने लगते हैं।

उदाहरण के लिए, यदि किसी विद्यालय के छात्र रिकॉर्ड में विभिन्न कक्षाओं के छात्रों की जानकारी हो, तो Filter की सहायता से केवल Class 10 या Class 12 के छात्रों की सूची प्रदर्शित की जा सकती है।

Filter is an important Data Analysis Tool in LibreOffice Calc used to display only those records that satisfy a specified condition.

When a worksheet contains a large amount of data, viewing all records at once becomes difficult. In such cases, Filter helps display only the required records while temporarily hiding the remaining records.

Applying a Filter does not delete any data. The hidden records become visible again when the Filter is removed.

For example, if a student database contains records of different classes, Filter can display only the students of Class 10 or Class 12.

Filter के प्रकार (Types of Filter) :-

LibreOffice Calc में मुख्य रूप से तीन प्रकार (Three Types) के Filter उपलब्ध हैं।

1. Auto Filter (ऑटो फ़िल्टर) -

यह सबसे सामान्य (Most Common) Filter है।

इसमें प्रत्येक Column Header पर Drop-down Arrow दिखाई देता है, जिसकी सहायता से आवश्यक Value चुनकर डेटा को फ़िल्टर किया जाता है।

2. Standard Filter (स्टैंडर्ड फ़िल्टर) -

इस Filter का उपयोग एक या एक से अधिक Conditions के आधार पर डेटा फ़िल्टर करने के लिए किया जाता है।

उदाहरण—

• Marks > 80
• City = Delhi

3. Advanced Filter (एडवांस फ़िल्टर) -

इसका उपयोग जटिल (Complex) तथा अनेक Conditions के आधार पर डेटा फ़िल्टर करने के लिए किया जाता है।

यह बड़े (Large) डेटाबेस के विश्लेषण के लिए अधिक उपयोगी होता है।
