IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited) भारतीय रेलवे की एक सार्वजनिक क्षेत्र की कंपनी है, जो railway ticketing के साथ-साथ catering, tourism और अन्य passenger-related services से जुड़ी विभिन्न सेवाएँ प्रदान करती है।

IRCTC को 27 September 1999 को incorporate किया गया था। इसका उद्देश्य भारतीय रेलवे की catering और hospitality services को बेहतर बनाना तथा tourism और online ticketing जैसी सेवाओं को विकसित करना था।

IRCTC की online e-ticketing service ने railway ticket booking को अधिक convenient बनाया। आज passenger Internet और mobile application के माध्यम से railway ticket से संबंधित कई सेवाओं का उपयोग कर सकते हैं।

IRCTC के माध्यम से Online Ticket Booking :-

Indian Railway की e-ticket booking के लिए passenger IRCTC की official website www.irctc.co.in या official IRCTC mobile application का उपयोग कर सकता है।

Online Ticket Booking के Steps / Steps for Online Ticket Booking

1. 1. IRCTC website/app खोलें। / Open the IRCTC website or app.
   2. अपने account में Login करें। / Log in to your account.
   3. From और To station select करें। / Select the From and To stations.
   4. Journey Date select करें। / Select the journey date.
   5. Available trains देखें। / View the available trains.
   6. Train और Class select करें। / Select the train and class.
   7. Passenger Details भरें। / Enter the passenger details.
   8. Payment करें। / Make the payment.
   9. Booking Confirmation प्राप्त करें। / Receive the booking confirmation.
   10. PNR Number प्राप्त करें। / Receive the PNR number.

Online Payment Methods :-

IRCTC पर उपलब्ध payment options समय के साथ बदल सकते हैं। सामान्यतः विभिन्न electronic payment methods उपलब्ध हो सकते हैं।
Payment options available on IRCTC may change over time. Various electronic payment methods may generally be available.

• Credit Card – क्रेडिट कार्ड के माध्यम से payment / Payment through a credit card.
• Debit Card – डेबिट कार्ड के माध्यम से payment / Payment through a debit card.
• Net Banking – Internet banking के माध्यम से payment / Payment through Internet banking.
• UPI – UPI के माध्यम से digital payment / Digital payment through UPI.
• Wallets – Supported digital wallets के माध्यम से payment / Payment through supported digital wallets.

Checking PNR Status :-

PNR (Passenger Name Record) एक unique number( 10 digit) का होता  है जो railway reservation के समय booking record से जुड़ा होता है।
PNR में passenger की booking से संबंधित information और reservation status की जानकारी मिल सकती है।
PNR Status check करके यात्री अपनी railway ticket की current reservation status देख सकता है।

PNR Status Check करने के Steps :-

1. IRCTC या official railway service खोलें।
   / Open IRCTC or an official railway service.
2. PNR Status option चुनें।
   / Select the PNR Status option.
3. अपना 10-digit PNR Number enter करें।
   / Enter your 10-digit PNR number.
4. Submit/Check Status पर click करें।
   / Click on Submit/Check Status.
5. Current Ticket Status देखें।
   / View the current ticket status.

Common PNR Status :-

1. CNF – Confirmed :-

CNF (Confirmed) का अर्थ है कि passenger की reservation confirmed है।

English:
CNF (Confirmed) means that the passenger's reservation is confirmed.

2. RAC – Reservation Against Cancellation :-

RAC (Reservation Against Cancellation) में passenger को RAC reservation मिलता है और applicable railway rules के अनुसार यात्रा की जा सकती है।

English:
RAC (Reservation Against Cancellation) means the passenger has an RAC reservation and can travel according to the applicable railway rules.

3. WL – Waiting List :-

WL (Waiting List) का अर्थ है कि reservation अभी waiting list में है। इसकी final status railway द्वारा chart preparation और applicable rules के अनुसार निर्धारित होती है।

WL (Waiting List) means that the reservation is currently on the waiting list. Its final status is determined according to railway rules and chart preparation.
