e-Governance :-

e-Governance (Electronic Governance) का अर्थ है सरकार द्वारा आम नागरिकों को उपलब्ध कराई जाने वाली विभिन्न सेवाओं और सूचनाओं को Internet तथा Information and Communication Technology (ICT) के माध्यम से online उपलब्ध कराना।

e-Governance के अंतर्गत Government Services और Government Information को electronic माध्यम से citizens, businesses और employees तक पहुँचाया जाता है।

इसका मुख्य उद्देश्य Government और Public के बीच communication को आसान बनाना तथा Time, Cost और Paperwork को कम करना है।

भारत में Department of Electronics की स्थापना 1970 में हुई थी तथा National Informatics Centre (NIC) की स्थापना 1976 में हुई थी। NIC ने भारत में government information systems और e-Governance को विकसित करने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई है।

आज Central Government और विभिन्न State Governments द्वारा नागरिकों के लिए अनेक सेवाएँ Internet के माध्यम से उपलब्ध कराई जाती हैं।

उदाहरण:

  • Online Banking के माध्यम से विभिन्न banking services का उपयोग किया जा सकता है।
  • GST से संबंधित registration, return आदि कार्य online किए जा सकते हैं।
  • Train, Bus और Airplane की tickets online book की जा सकती हैं।
  • Electricity, Water, Telephone और Mobile के bills online जमा किए जा सकते हैं।
  • PAN Card और Aadhaar से संबंधित कई services online उपलब्ध हैं।
  • Passport के लिए online application और appointment की सुविधा उपलब्ध है।
  • विभिन्न certificates के लिए online आवेदन किया जा सकता है।
  • Government scholarships के लिए online application किया जा सकता है।
  • Hospitals में online appointment और कुछ health services का उपयोग किया जा सकता है।

e-Governance (Electronic Governance) means providing government services and information to citizens through the Internet and Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

Under e-Governance, government information and services are made available electronically to citizens, businesses, government employees and other organizations.

The main purpose of e-Governance is to make government services faster, easier, more accessible and transparent, while reducing time, cost and paperwork.

In India, the Department of Electronics was established in 1970, and the National Informatics Centre (NIC) was established in 1976. NIC has played an important role in developing government information systems and e-Governance in India.

Today, the Central Government and various State Governments provide many services through the Internet.
