LAN (Local Area Network) :-

LAN का पूरा नाम Local Area Network (लोकल एरिया नेटवर्क) है। यह एक प्रकार का Computer Network है जिसका उपयोग किसी छोटे geographical area में स्थित computers तथा अन्य network devices को आपस में connect करने के लिए किया जाता है।

LAN का coverage area PAN की तुलना में बड़ा होता है और सामान्यतः यह एक room, home, office, computer laboratory, school, library या एक building तक सीमित रहता है।

उदाहरण के लिए, यदि किसी computer laboratory में कई computers को network switch के माध्यम से आपस में connect किया जाता है और वे files, data तथा printer को share कर सकते हैं, तो यह LAN का उदाहरण है।

1. Ethernet :-

Ethernet LAN में सबसे common wired networking technology में से एक है। इसमें computers और अन्य network devices को Ethernet cables के माध्यम से switch या अन्य network devices से connect किया जाता है।

2. Wi-Fi :-

Wi-Fi का उपयोग LAN में devices को wirelessly connect करने के लिए किया जाता है। इसमें computers, laptops, smartphones, printers और अन्य devices बिना physical cable के network से connect हो सकते हैं।

Wi-Fi is used in LAN to connect devices wirelessly. Computers, laptops, smartphones, printers, and other devices can connect to the network without a physical cable.

3. Network Switch :-

Switch LAN का एक महत्वपूर्ण network device है। इसका उपयोग LAN में कई computers और अन्य devices को आपस में connect करने के लिए किया जाता है।

A Switch is an important network device in a LAN. It is used to connect multiple computers and other devices within a LAN.
