Bus Topology (बस टोपोलॉजी) :-

Bus Topology एक प्रकार की Network Topology है जिसमें network के सभी computers, servers और अन्य network devices एक single main communication cable से जुड़े होते हैं। इस मुख्य cable को Backbone Cable कहा जाता है।

Bus Topology में सभी connected devices एक ही communication medium को share करते हैं। जब कोई device data भेजता है, तो data main cable (backbone) के माध्यम से network में travel करता है और जिस device के लिए data भेजा गया है, वह उसे receive करता है।

Bus Topology is a type of Network Topology in which all computers, servers, and other network devices are connected to a single main communication cable. This main cable is called the Backbone Cable.

In Bus Topology, all connected devices share the same communication medium. When a device sends data, the data travels through the main cable (backbone), and the intended device receives the data.

Bus Topology का Structure :-

Bus Topology में एक single backbone cable होती है और सभी computers इस cable से connected होते हैं।

Bus Topology के मुख्य Components :- 1. Backbone Cable -

Backbone Cable Bus Topology की मुख्य communication cable होती है। सभी devices इसी cable से connected होते हैं।

The Backbone Cable is the main communication cable in Bus Topology. All devices are connected to this cable.

2. Nodes / Computers -

Network में connected प्रत्येक computer या device को Node कहा जा सकता है।

Each computer or device connected to the network can be called a Node.

3. Drop Cable -

किसी computer या network device को main backbone cable से connect करने के लिए connection cable का उपयोग किया जाता है, जिसे Drop Cable कहा जा सकता है।

A connection cable used to connect a computer or network device to the main backbone cable is called a Drop Cable.

4. Terminator -

Bus Topology में backbone cable के दोनों ends पर Terminator लगाया जाता है।

Terminator का उद्देश्य cable के end पर signal को absorb करना होता है ताकि signal वापस reflect होकर network में interference न पैदा करे।

A Terminator is placed at both ends of the backbone cable.

Its purpose is to absorb the signal at the end of the cable and prevent the signal from reflecting back and causing interference.

Advantages of Bus Topology :-

• Simple Design — सरल डिजाइन
• Easy to Install — स्थापित करना आसान
• Less Cable Required — कम केबल की आवश्यकता
• Low Cost — कम लागत

Disadvantages of Bus Topology :-

• Backbone Cable Failure Affects the Network — Backbone cable खराब होने पर पूरा network प्रभावित हो सकता है
• Difficult to Troubleshoot — समस्या का पता लगाना कठिन
• Performance Decreases with Heavy Traffic — अधिक traffic में performance कम हो जाती है
• Not Suitable for Large Networks — बड़े networks के लिए उपयुक्त नहीं
