Proprietary Software (प्रोप्राइटरी सॉफ्टवेयर)
Proprietary Software वह सॉफ्टवेयर होता है जिसका Source Code (सोर्स कोड) केवल उसके निर्माता या कंपनी के पास होता है। सामान्य उपयोगकर्ता इस सॉफ्टवेयर के सोर्स कोड को न तो देख सकते हैं, न उसमें बदलाव कर सकते हैं और न ही उसे स्वतंत्र रूप से वितरित कर सकते हैं।
इस प्रकार के सॉफ्टवेयर का उपयोग करने के लिए उपयोगकर्ता को कंपनी द्वारा निर्धारित License (लाइसेंस) की शर्तों का पालन करना पड़ता है।
