Mouse एक महत्वपूर्ण Input Device है जिसका उपयोग कंप्यूटर स्क्रीन पर Cursor (पॉइंटर) को नियंत्रित करने, वस्तुओं (Objects) को चुनने, खोलने और विभिन्न कार्य करने के लिए किया जाता है।

यह एक Pointing Device है जो उपयोगकर्ता को Graphical User Interface (GUI) के माध्यम से कंप्यूटर के साथ आसानी से कार्य करने में सहायता करता है।

माउस के कार्य (Functions of Mouse)

• Cursor को Move करना
• Files और Folders को Select करना
• Programs को Open करना
• Drag and Drop करना
• Drawing और Designing करना
• Games खेलना

(Parts of Mouse) 1. Left Button (लेफ्ट बटन)

• किसी आइटम को Select करने के लिए।
• Double Click करके Program या File खोलने के लिए।

2. Right Button (राइट बटन)

• Shortcut Menu (Context Menu) खोलने के लिए।

3. Scroll Wheel (स्क्रॉल व्हील)

• Web Pages और Documents को ऊपर-नीचे Scroll करने के लिए।

Mouse के प्रकार (Types of Mouse) 1. Mechanical Mouse

बॉल (Ball) की सहायता से कार्य करता है।

2. Optical Mouse

LED या Laser की सहायता से कार्य करता है।

3. Wireless Mouse

बिना तार (Wire) के Bluetooth या RF Technology द्वारा कार्य करता है।

4. Trackball Mouse

जिसमें Pointer को Ball घुमाकर नियंत्रित किया जाता है।

5. Gaming Mouse

विशेष रूप से Games खेलने के लिए बनाया जाता है।
