PoS (Point of Sale) :-

PoS (Point of Sale) एक ऐसा System/Device है जिसका उपयोग Shop, Store या Business में सामान या services की Sale और Payment करने के लिए किया जाता है।

जब कोई customer किसी shop से सामान खरीदता है, तो PoS System के माध्यम से सामान का Bill बनाया जाता है और उसका Payment किया जाता है।

PoS का शुरुआती development James Ritty (जेम्स रिटी) से जुड़ा माना जाता है, जिन्होंने 1879 में एक mechanical cash register विकसित किया था।

PoS System को चलाने के लिए Hardware और Software दोनों की आवश्यकता होती है।

PoS System में Thermal Printer का उपयोग customer के लिए Bill/Receipt Print करने के लिए किया जाता है।

Example: किसी दुकान पर customer ने ₹500 का सामान खरीदा। Shopkeeper PoS System में सामान की details enter करता है, ₹500 का bill बनाता है और customer से Debit Card, Credit Card, UPI या अन्य supported payment method से payment लेता है।
