E-Wallet (Electronic Wallet) :-
E-Wallet (Electronic Wallet) एक प्रकार का Online Prepaid Account/Digital Wallet है, जिसका उपयोग Money/Payment Value को Digital Form में store करने और supported services में Online Transactions करने के लिए किया जाता है।
E-Wallet का उपयोग Computer, Smartphone या अन्य supported device के माध्यम से किया जा सकता है। यह एक Real Wallet का Electronic Form है, जिसमें physical cash रखने के बजाय digital balance या payment information का उपयोग किया जाता है।
E-Wallet का उपयोग customers द्वारा Online Shopping, Bill Payment, Recharge, Money Transfer और अन्य Digital Transactions के लिए किया जा सकता है।
Examples: Paytm, PhonePe, PayZapp, MobiKwik आदि। कुछ applications, जैसे Google Pay, मुख्य रूप से digital payment/UPI services प्रदान करती हैं और उनकी available wallet functionality अलग हो सकती है।
Types of E-Wallet
E-Wallet मुख्य रूप से निम्नलिखित प्रकार के हो सकते हैं:-
1. Closed E-Wallet
Closed E-Wallet का उपयोग सामान्यतः किसी specific company या service provider के products/services के लिए payment करने में किया जाता है। इसका उपयोग अन्य merchants के यहाँ सामान्य payment के लिए नहीं किया जा सकता।
Example: किसी particular company या platform द्वारा अपने customers के लिए उपलब्ध कराया गया wallet।
2. Open E-Wallet
Open E-Wallet का उपयोग Payment करने के साथ-साथ कुछ services में Money Transfer और Cash Withdrawal के लिए भी किया जा सकता है।
Example: ऐसे digital wallet जिनमें payment के साथ पैसे भेजने और निकालने की सुविधा भी उपलब्ध हो।
3. Semi-Closed E-Wallet
Semi-Closed E-Wallet का उपयोग केवल उन shops, websites या merchants पर किया जा सकता है जो उस wallet को accept करते हैं। इससे सामान्यतः Cash Withdrawal नहीं किया जा सकता।
Example: MobiKwik Wallet जैसे wallet का उपयोग supported/registered merchants पर payment के लिए किया जा सकता है।
4. Semi-Open E-Wallet
Semi-Open E-Wallet का उपयोग केवल उन shops या merchants पर किया जा सकता है जहाँ उस wallet का payment network accept किया जाता है।
Example: ऐसा prepaid wallet/card जिसे केवल participating merchants पर payment करने के लिए इस्तेमाल किया जा सके।

2. Open E-Wallet
An Open E-Wallet can be used for payments at supported merchants and, depending on applicable rules and service features, may also support services such as Money Transfer and Cash Withdrawal.
3. Semi-Closed E-Wallet
A Semi-Closed E-Wallet can be used to make payments at Merchants/Service Providers that are registered or associated with the wallet network. It generally does not provide cash withdrawal facilities.
4. Semi-Open E-Wallet
A Semi-Open E-Wallet can be used at merchants where the relevant Payment Network/Acceptance System is available. Its features and usage restrictions depend on the rules of the service provider.
