Need for Files (फाइलों की आवश्यकता) :-
Computer programs में files की आवश्यकता data को स्थायी रूप से store करने, भविष्य में उसे पढ़ने, पुराने records को सुरक्षित रखने और अलग-अलग programs के बीच data का आदान-प्रदान करने के लिए होती है।
यदि हम data को केवल variables में रखते हैं, तो program बंद होने के बाद उस data को दोबारा प्राप्त करना सामान्यतः संभव नहीं होता। इसलिए permanent data storage के लिए files उपयोगी होती हैं।

Files की आवश्यकता के प्रमुख कारण (Importance of Files)
1. Permanent Storage (स्थायी संग्रहण)-
हिंदी: Files में data को लंबे समय तक सुरक्षित रखा जा सकता है।
English: Files allow data to be stored permanently for future use.
Example: विद्यार्थी के marks को marks.txt में save करना।
2. Data Retrieval (डेटा को दोबारा प्राप्त करना)-
हिंदी: File में पहले से store किए गए data को आवश्यकता पड़ने पर पढ़ा जा सकता है।
English: Previously stored data can be retrieved whenever required.
Example: पहले से save किए गए विद्यार्थी के marks को पढ़ना।
3. Handling Large Amounts of Data (अधिक डेटा का प्रबंधन)-
हिंदी: Files में बड़ी मात्रा में data store और manage किया जा सकता है।
English: Files can store and manage large amounts of information.
Example: किसी विद्यालय के हजारों विद्यार्थियों का record।
4. Data Sharing (डेटा साझा करना)-
हिंदी: एक program द्वारा file में save किया गया data दूसरा program भी पढ़ सकता है, यदि उसे उस file तक access प्राप्त हो।
English: Data stored in a file can be accessed by another program if it has the required access.
5. Record Maintenance (रिकॉर्ड बनाए रखना)
हिंदी: Files की मदद से पुराने records को सुरक्षित रखा जा सकता है।
English: Files help maintain records for future reference.
Example: Employee records, student records और sales reports।
6. Backup and Recovery (बैकअप और पुनः प्राप्ति)-
हिंदी: Files की copies बनाकर महत्वपूर्ण data का backup रखा जा सकता है और आवश्यकता पड़ने पर उसे restore किया जा सकता है।
English: Copies of files can be maintained as backups and restored when required.
Example: File में data save करना
Result: student.txt नाम की file में Rahul लिखा जाएगा।
यह उदाहरण तभी सफल होगा जब program को संबंधित location पर file बनाने या लिखने की अनुमति हो।
